Rayleigh
Through the Looking Glass
We are a local voluntary group that gives slide show presentations and hold exhibitions on Rayleigh’s rich and varied history.
Talks are given to local clubs, groups, organisations and societies and the slides are taken from
our archive of over 5000 images dating from 1860 to the present.
We also advise Rayleigh Town Council on their Heritage Plaques
and we act as
Footpath Representative (P3) for Rayleigh Town Council.
Funds are raised for local charities, good causes and to help maintain and preserve our archives.
(for details please see our Charitable Donations page)
We have been successful with a number of grants which include Awards for All (Lottery), Grassroots Grants Essex,
Essex Heritage Trust and Essex Community Archive.
If you are interested in hosting a show or want further information please contact
